Your About page, part 3
How to update your About Page regularly: a quick checklist
Now that you’ve written your About Page and updated your website, the hard work is complete.
If you missed my other posts on writing your About Page, just click here.
From this point onwards, you just need to make regular, small updates.
Put a reminder in your diary to check your About Page once per quarter and run through this quick checklist -
Have you got new photos? Update your images.
Add new testimonials.
Add any press mentions.
Any interesting new clients?
Launched any new products or services?
Won any awards?
Appeared on a podcast?
Been a speaker at an event?
Moved location?
Got a new qualification/completed a course?
Passed any milestones?
Got any new data to back up your value claims?
Is your call to action still relevant and useful? Is it working?
This post is bonus content from my fillable workbook on how to write, revise and repurpose your About Page. You can definitely get started using my Substack posts. If you want all the prompts and tips, check out my detailed About Page workbook.
The workbook shows you how to create an About Page that focuses as much on your buyers as it does on you. If you follow every step, by the time you’ve finished, you’ll have an About Page you’ll feel happy to share (and use for other content).
